  • Board Elections

    Voters in the Edwards-Knox Central School District will elect one member to the Board of Education on May 20, 2025.

    The term will begin July 1, 2025, and will be for five years, expiring June 30, 2030. 

    Edwards-Knox board members receive no salary or other compensation for serving.

    Running for the Board of Education

    Candidates seeking election to the Board of Education must file a nomination petition with School District Clerk Brandi Graham. Petitions can be picked up at the District Office (2512 Co. Rt. 24, Hermon, NY 13652) on normal business days. Completed petitions must be returned to the school district clerk by Monday, April 21, 2025, at 5 p.m.

    Petitions must include the signature of at least 25 qualified voters of the Edwards-Knox Central School District. A candidate must be a qualified voter of the district, at least 18 years old, be able to read and write and shall have been a resident of the school district for at least one year prior to the election. 

    Additionally, all candidates are required to file expenditure statements. Positions of candidates' names on the ballot will be determined by a lottery. A drawing for ballot positions will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the District Office at Edwards-Knox Central School.

A qualified voter is an individual who meets the following criteria:

    • Is at least 18 years of age;

    • Is a citizen of the United States; and

    • Has been a resident of the Edwards-Knox Central School District for at least 30 days.
